I always enjoy being interviewed by Bruce Whitfield on Cape Talk and Talk Radio 702. He’s the consummate professional – a skilled broadcaster, highly intelligent, very funny, with a sharp mind and a finger pressed firmly on the pulse of global business developments.
He also asks tough questions, which means I always take his calls for a comment with a mixture of trepidation and excitement. We’ve also worked together at events where I have been a speaker and he’s been the MC or facilitator, and we’ve always found an opportunity to have a laugh.
So when he asked if I could join him in the new Cape Town studios to talk about ‘A Fox’s Tale’, I immediately said yes. It was a great interview, helped in no small part by the fact that because my husband Daryl worked with Bruce on Talk Radio 702 for a number of years, Bruce and I had common ground to talk about the challenges of working with hedgehogs!
And because I have a deep respect for Bruce, and value his input, I was particularly appreciative of his comments about the book as “beautifully written” and “magnificently told”. I guess having a hedgehog for a husband has its merits!
